A choice of ten ski slopes featuring excellent profiles and varying degrees of difficulty provide challenges for expert skiers and suitable slopes for beginners.

Perfect terrain for cross-country skiers

The network of ski-trails is criss-crossing the undulating arctic hill terrain. There are 76 km of machine maintained trails, 35 km of which are illuminated.

Safari packages

Salla Reindeer Park provides a wide range of safaris from a reindeer or husky sled ride lasting a few hours to excursions of several days. Arctic Circle Safaris offer a safari from hour to up an overnight snowmobile excursion camping in bunkhouses, or wilderness survival trips overnighting in self-made snow dogouts. The Arctic snowmobile trip takes you right up to the shores of Arctic Ocean.

Unique Reindeer Park

In the 200 hectare park you can feed reindeer and stay overnight in an authentic reindeer farmer's hut or learn to made from peat. The beachfront sauna with its herbal peat treatment or massage service is an experience in itself. Evenings devoted to glow-frying of fish, enjoying coffee and meals in a Lapp shelter and taking part in exciting traditional Lapp rituals are but a few of the other experiences available. The exhibition in the park's main building provides diverse information about the stark reality of life in Lapland.

Adventure safaris and wilderness skills expeditions

The largest wilderness areas in Northern Europe - Tuntsa, Naruska, and the Oulanka National Park - are the stages for your experiences. There are diverse ready-made safaris and tailor-made expeditions available including a guided canoe safari in which you will experience in safety the tranquility of wilderness rivers. Staying overnight in lean-to made by yourself is only one of the experiences featured in the wilderness skills expeditions. Program packages are also tailored to individual wishes.

Salla for hikers

The well-marked UKK-hiking route offers a choice of hikes and scenery suitable for everyone. The 95 km Bear-round across the Oulanka National Park is a challenge even for the most experienced hiker. In the Park's expansive marshes, bird-watchers have more than 90 species of marsh and forest birds to spot from. Several shelters with firewood have been built along the routes and their neighboring areas for you to stay overnight in or have a break.

Salla for fishing enthusiast

The rivers, ponds and lakes of the Tuntsa and Naruska wilderness areas are popular with fly and spin-fishing enthusiasts. Your bait will tempt trout, grayling, brook trout and whitefish. Naruska-river is also ideal for canoeists - many of the fishing and canoeing venues are located close to roads.

Reindeer Park for family hiking

Reindeer park provides a safe and easy-to-travel natural environment for hikers. Along the nature, game and trapping trails you will discover the flora and fauna of Lapland. ready-made campfire and resting places on the shore of lakes are ideal for enjoying a packed lunch. A fishing trip can result in a catch of whitefish and trout.
